Pakistan is known for its high-quality chillies, particularly those grown in regions like Sindh, Balochistan, and Punjab. The dry red chilli exports from Pakistan contribute significantly to the nation’s economy, with the majority of the produce being exported to various countries.

In Pakistan, approximately 70% of the chilli produced is consumed domestically, while the remaining 30% is exported globally. The country’s chillies are known for their vibrant color and varying levels of pungency. The most prominent chilli-growing provinces include Sindh, Balochistan, and Punjab. Together, these regions account for nearly 80% of the total chilli cultivation area.

The primary chilli-growing seasons in Pakistan are the Kharif and Rabi seasons. Chilli cultivation for the Kharif season typically begins between July and August, while for the Rabi season, cultivation takes place from October to November. These growing periods are essential for producing a wide range of chillies that meet both domestic and international demand.
